Today, Heather relates what every parent has endured – poop on the loose. I don’t think I have laughed that long or that hard in a very long time. So, if you are scatalogically tolerant, follow to dooce and make sure you have swallowed anything you might spit up…

I gotta read it again… wonderful.

Weird juxtapositions

December 12, 2005

So, today at church one of the young men (the acting chorister) decided to get a bit cheeky and picked “God Save The King” to sing in our Priesthood opening exercises.

I had completely forgotten that the song “My Country ‘Tis Of Thee” is built on the melody of “God Save The King”. And, since it is in the hymn book, it is perfectly appropriate but it was still a bit… weird.

Fun though.

doctabu: VoxCall!

December 6, 2005

I tried using doctabu: VoxCall! last night but then I had to run some errands so I don’t know if it worked. I’ll try again today, but this is still a rather neat hack/trick. I could see using this while in a meeting or elsewhere to talk to someone without making the call.

Definitely geek cred here.

The Great Rose Bowl Hoax

December 6, 2005

Someone at work pointed me to The Great Rose Bowl Hoax yesterday – why didn’t I find this when I was in college? (Answer: Because the internet was still in the amoeba stage)

I mean, I’ve done my share of pranking, but not entire institutions… well, not yet anyway.

BBC NEWS: ‘Beer goggles’ effect explained

I wonder if they came up with this theory over a pint or two.
