Jim Henson + Storytelling = good DVD!

According to the SciFi Storm website, there is a set of DVDs available for purchase that contain a series of stories animated by Jim Henson. These stories were produced in conjunction with HBO and are “considered one of
Jim Henson’s finest achievements”. Look for them on August 26th or pre-order at Amazon.com.

Nanotech TV

This article in USA Today has just convinced me to wait for a couple of years before buying a bigger TV. I keep wanting to, but finances just don’t justify it. However, by the time these hit the market, I’ll be ready.

What are ‘these’ you might ask? Nanotubes. Okay, you might wonder, what are Nanotubes. Well, according to my understanding, a nanotube is a carbon composite material that can be shape into a tube at microscopic sizes. This tube ends up being incredibly strong and flexible. And, as the story points out, a great way to point an electron at a very precise point, say on a monitor. Read more, you’ll see what I mean.

Getting Setup…

Well, I finally took the plunge and setup my own web site!

I probably would have stayed in my own little domain on my own machine except for the fact that my DSL provider (Qwest) upgraded me and the modem they used (Actiontec) won’t allow traffic back to my server.

Hmph.

So, I now have MoveableType installed (only took a couple of hours) and I’m ready to go…
